Anybody know how to do this- sonny boy williamson does it at the end of bye bye birdie on youtube, and this video takes it up another notch

Is this u blocking or is he somehow doing this just using standard tongue blocking?

It's tongue blocking - but U-block works for me. If you buy Rick's new DVD he explains the cigar trick (briefly).

yea I think I'm going to buy that- it looks like a good cd for learning some stage presence, which I badly need. Not to mention it looks pretty hilarious
