There will be a memorial service at the Smithsonian Institution in D.C. on Sunday the 29th for "Bowling Green" John Cephus, who died last week. An impromtu jam session will follow. I lived in Bowling Green Va. for 10 years and used to see him around. Another great blues man crosses the bar.
Also- Phil Wiggins is scheduled to play (along with Beverly "Guitar" Watkins) at the Savannah Music Festival this thursday night....I'm there. savannahmusicfestival.org
