Hello, I am new to your forum and look forward to reading and learning from newfound friends. I have played harp all of my life, and, with other musicians for the past 8 years. For me playing the harp is a humbling ongoing learning experience.

Greetings MJ, sounds like you have a lot of experience that I could learn from. Many of us here, like me, are late-comers to the harp. What style(s) and techniques do you like to play?

It is kind of you to think I am so proficient without even hearing me. I like to play blues, jazz, rock, country, folk. Anything but Opera! I mostly play in Cross harp and some 3rd positions(Unknowingly) I use different techniques that I truthfully can't name, as I am a "By the seat of my pants" musician. Blow, suck, tap your toes and get a groove. I would like to ad that I appreciate the warm welcome from everyone.

Hey Players, seems like the right forum to speak with, after i´m burn´d out of playing. So many questions, while the answer is just in doing it and accept our state of knowledge. I´m new in this forum, soon 55 Jears but not old, ´cause harmonica keeps young. Since i´ve found these lessons on yt a new part of my life begun. Time is right, feelings are there, power everywhere, and we just can keep and give, like gog might have imagined the human beeing. Please forgive my poor english. Musik doesn´t know different language. I´m glad for to do this thing, playing in a band, carpe diem, soon you can hear our first production in a studio on yt. I slept a long time, where i ignored my harps, couse there was no inspirations anymore and no people to share with, but then, just like a wonder, there was a band, there are people, there is everything i dreamt of, and i just want to tell you: keep on doing it! Greetings Wolfgang Martfeld Blues Band you can´t find us as yet.

Amen! I'd given up 3 or 4 times before Doc Gussow put me straight and got me harpin' like I never knew I could. ---------- 'If it sounds GOOD to you, it's bitchen; if it sounds BAD to YOU, it's shitty' - Frank Zappa

High, the only thing you can find about members of this band is this: about our Singer, the man on the right http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5Sf2RBTq7Y and this: about our drummer, who lives in Martfeld http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g493zCXuzmQ, a real smart scotish Angel, like all the other members eccept the keyboordplayer, who live´s near by this small village Martfeld. Welcome. Just do not take some of the posts here personally. We have a strange and wonderful group. Some more strange, some more wonderful. BUT - it is the best harp site on the net and I get a lot of value from it.

Thank you snakes. I am about to be 61 and look at how the time flies. It seems like yesterday I was only 50!! My daughter asks me about the "Olden days" and if there were black and white videos.
