In the past I have only broken (by fatigue I expect and due to bending) holes 4 and 5 draw. I was wondering if anyone has fatigued their harp on holes blow 4 5 and 6 by overblowing? I'm currently working on this and although I'm careful not to use too much force, the reeds do sound as though they are taking quite a pounding while I perfect the technique.

I think I've cracked the technique on my A harp and am now refining the technique for the C harp which seems to be more difficult.

The 6 hole blow, but only on one harp - the harp that I learned overblowing on. Many other harps of mine took quite a pounding because of ob too. But these surprisingly didn't go off...

you have to have your reeds set up to overblow.
I do not need to overblow (I'm not being smug in this overblow politically correct world)
There was life before overblow and I'm enjoying myself now and have been playing for many years....so tookatooka pound away, but it will cost you money either in customisation or repair and who is going to notice?? Your audience wont let me tell you :-)
regards Nick
