I put this message on Kudzurunner's thread entitled - another message (sigh)from the Administrator.

I then started this thread to take it away from the negative and try and do something to redress the balance on the unreasonable treatment of a valuble member of our community, and bring some sanity back to a ridiculous situation.

It's not often I get on my high horse but to say I'm pi**ed off is an understatement.

I've cut and pasted my original post.

"I've thought long and hard before contributing to this or 'the other' thread.

Buddah or Chris which ever you prefer WAS one of the most knowledgable individuals on this forum. He was brash and sometimes lacking in some communication skills but he freely admitted that in just about every thread that he was ever attacked in.

Now the idiot who started 'the other' thread is reinstated as a contributor to this forum and the rest of us have lost the knowledge of a professional, for f**k sake where is the justice in that.

I am fully aware that Mikolune was not the only one who slagged Chris off but I would like to thank him personally for pushing the man over the edge. what the idiot was thinking about is beyond me.

Of course it would be nice to ask Chris to reconsider his decision to stop contributing for the sake of the majority of us who just want to learn a bit more about the harp, but we have no way of doing that other than through this community/thread.

I ask Adam to consider passing on what will hopefully be a multitude of messages from users of this forum who feel this loss as much as i do.

It is not a shame that Chris has left us, it's f***ing shameful the treatment the man put up with.

So I will start by asking Buddah to reconsider his decision to leave our community, because most of us appreciated your imput in the spirit it was given, and your views will be sorely missed by this community."

rustywater,

While I understand your anger at the recent turn of events, I don't see any point in flaming animosity towards Mikolune with terms like 'idiot'.

Yes, it was a pretty daft thing that he did, but through whatever correspondence that has passed between him and kudzurunner, kudzu has seen fit to reinstate him.

I expect he knows he made a bad call. Perhaps we should now let sleeping dogs lie.

Look, I started a thread 'its quality not quantity with female harp players' some weeks ago, and I meant it, Christelle Berton is a very fine player..
But Chris M made some criticism of Christelle playing over Peter Gabriel on her you tube chanel, which was valid and his point of view, and then it all kicked off since..
Thats it, now lighten up you guys!! please have a bit of humour and self depreciation when you post.
She did not post that on MBHF for your negative opinions, I did, because I enjoyed it and thought you might too. How wrong I was..

An interesting response, and I do not want to get into an arguement about Mikolune and whether he has made a 'bad call' or not, that is irrelevant to me, and not the purpose of the thread, so I will withdraw my opinion of him if that makes contributors feel better.

Of course Adam is at liberty to do as he pleases,I respect that it is his website/forum, but my comments as far as I can see are within the rules set out.

The fact is that one of the most informed people on this forum has been bullied off by a minority and that means the rest of us lose this persons expertize.

I respect that some people want to let sleeping dogs lie but there are others, like me, who would rather wake the bugger up and try and get Chris to contribute again.

I must have missed what went on here. If the end result is that Chris Michalek is no loger contributing to this forum it is a sad day.

rustywater,

I too would like to see Chris back here again. Perhaps policing ourselves in the way that we do will regulate the heat that sometimes flies around this forum and make it a place that Chris will want to return to.

Who are "you guys".

Maybe you need to check yourself.

What happened with Chris is over.
I was a part of the Bashing that Chris took. I pointed out some things that I Still feel very strongly about. But I was way out of line with many other things....
and if those are what you believe drove Chris away then Bitch to me. But damn....it's over.

Chris not posting here is NOT the end of the world. Does it suck. Yeah, It does.

But who are "you guys"? Are you able to name names?

I'll start you off

Hey guys, it is SOOOO easy..... just DROP this conversation and go back to discussing harmonica stuff ... and perhaps... perhaps... Chris will jump in again if he sees we're serious about harp playing..... the way it is now, HE'S not going step up to the plate... and throwing dirt at each other isn't helping either (I'm using a baseball expression here)
It's like quitting smoking, alcohol or what ever...... talking about it is useless, just do it! .... now repeat after me... "YES" .... "WE" ...."CAN" !!

Good, now we're back on track.... now... who's going to enter our little harp competition? Wailer's new track hit me right in the gut... can that guy play.... I don't know about you people, but I'm going to have a serious GO at it...
Listening to Buddy & Jr's acoustic cd is going to pay off for sure...

Err, yes, but that can just be part of the same game.

If someone admits they are a racist, it doesn't justify their racism.
