hello every one im jon. im a terrible speller as you will see over time. just puttin that out there cause every forum im on, when i first join people are like you spelled this wrong you spelled that wrong etc... an im like i know i cant spell. any way i been playin harp seriously for about two months or so. im totally addicted to it. i cant ever put it down. i dont have a job an i dont have friends an i dumped my girl so i just lay in bed all day watch movies an play harp morning to night. i first liked harp ever sense i heard "the john butler trio". iv been into the blues for a few years now ever sense i took a blues an jazz history class at a community collage. im also a big reggae fan but iv been listening to nothing but blues the past few months. i also play guitar, piano etc... i have my own little studio i put together when i was still makin money. im located in dirty jersey (NJ) if any one else is from here. ill be seeing jason ricci perform on the 19th an adam perform in PA or NY this summer. well thats all. hope that wasnt to long an boring.

Its a good start. I think you could instantly improve your tone with good breathing. Just imagine you take a big breath in. Then put your lips on the harp and BREATHE....

Welcome to the forum jonsparrow! I think I spell good and I've slipped some typo's into some of my threads, so don't worry 'bout no spellin.' Hey, I like reggae and African music as well as the blues too. Have fun at the Ricci show. I've seen him and he is awesome. I live in Washington state north of Seattle a little.

no job, friends, or girlfriend? dude, you've got the blues. You're half-way there.

PS. you spelled totally wrong.
PPS. Download "Mozilla Firefox" it's got a built in spellchecker. Prowblim solved.

Hi,Joe. Welcome to the forum. If you've never seen Ricci before, prepare to be blown away. Resist the urge to throw your harps off a bridge. LOL

Hi Jon--go get a copy of Adam's book "Mister Satan's Apprentice.) Your story sounds so similar to his--and he turned out to be a pretty good player--plus it's just a fun read!
