I have an old Key practice tube amp I would like to try playing my harp through. I am thinking about getting a Shure 58. Guitar Center has them for $89.00 and shure has a $10 rebait deal this month. So it seems like a good deal. Besides I can always use a SM-58. Is the SM-58 a good mic for this or is there a better mic out there that I should look at.

I like that old blues sound

Thanks

Is the same deal good for a 57? If so, I'm gonna drive down and get one.

I have a 58 and it is a great bulletproof all-around mic for voice, guitar--just about anything--but, in Zhin's analysis on YT, I think the 57 was a little better for harp.

Damn, I already have about six mic's, and here I am thinking about another one!
