Bushman just posted on their forum that in the next day or so Musician's Friend.com will start carrying delta frosts. Adam provides a link to this website under harps for sale.
This is great news for those who think the DF is the best out of the box harp but have been turned off by the issues with availabilty and service when buying from Bushman direct. Maybe I should have posted this under the current what's your favorite harmonica thread or the thread from not too long ago that really tore into Bushman, but I thought this was great information for developing harpers to know about--they are easy to play and to bend, sound great and are loud.....hopefully the price won't be jacked up on musicians friend.....
well, hopefully bushman can keep musicians friend stocked, but to me it's one more step in the process to deal with. each step or stop will take time.
i haven't bought anything from bushman in about a year because i really haven't needed anything. i did get a set of LO's and case for a nice deal at music123 several months ago and that has kept my needs met.
i will be buying more df's or at least reed plates as time goes on. thanks for the heads up!
You know I have never seen a Bushman harp let alone played one but I have heard of the Delta Frost and the Soul Voice. How do they compare with Special 20 which is my own favorite harp? I know from websites that they retail around the same price.
I have mostly delta frosts and sp 20's. I like the frosts a tad better. FOlks say you cannot get overblows out of them. no clue, as I cannot do that anyway. Good rich sound, responsive. I have 6 of them in various keys.
Use my Deltas for more then 4 years (maybe close to 5) now and they're still working fine, as opposed to my sp 20,which lasts only 1 or 2 years tops... Here is "Delta Frost Blues"
of course this was for the Bushman contest, but it's still the way I feel. The only thing that's not true is the phrase " I have my Deltas in my suitcase" I was I had!! I don't have that many of them (yet), I have them in a small case that came with the Hohner Blues Band set..... ---------- DutchBones Tube
