My webserver, Macwebsitedynamics.com, performed an upgrade yesterday afternoon, and apparently lost a handful of threads from this board. I just went and checked their weblog and this is what I found:
- - - - - - - - - - - - - "System Back Online
We're currently back online and are running on backup data at the moment. Our tech team is restoring the most recent data, which includes any changes made to your site up until around 3:30pm, Pacific Standard Time. Any changes to your site data made at the moment will not be saved, so please hang tight until we finish restoring.
Thanks for your patience and we'll keep you posted!
April 14, 2009 | Permalink System Upgrades for New Inventory Feature!
...This feature launch requires taking the system offline for a little bit, so on Tuesday April 14, starting at 10pm (PST) we’ll be working for about 5 hours to get everything in place. Any customers who visit your site during that time will be shown a system notice, including the estimated time your website will be back online." - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I obviously wish they hadn't deleted any threads. On second thought, one of the threads they deleted--at least as of the time I'm writing this--is the thread I was forced to lock yesterday morning. So perhaps angels of mercy have come to our assistance after all.
I'll keep you posted if I find out anything else.
