I went to HMV today and was not happy to see that not only did they not have the new CD, but they had removed the pigeon-hole/divider that used to have copies of Rocket. Oh well, if they are happy to lose my custom to Amazon, that's fine by me!

(I was after 4 DVDs too, but they didn't have any of them either!)

I don't know about the latest cd but my son arrived for Easter and gave me Rocket No9 as a late birthday gift.
Superb piece of work, and a big shout up for the rest of the guys playing with j.
I'll be on Amazon on 21st!!!!

I had interviewed Jason for the blog, and helped promote harmonicaspace. When I met him in person in Houston he gave me a copy for helping out.

What would be THE Jason Ricci & New Blood CD you would recommend someone to get who has none of them but likes blues & harp?

Jon, no. Brady Mills runs it. I only helped promote it through the blog and through the HOOT newsletter.

Ryan:
I haven't "Done with the Devil" yet, except for the preview on Amazon, so I don't know how well I can really answer your question, but I can go over two of his others.
I bought "Rocket #9" first, and then picked up his older "Blood on the Road". I view Blood on the Road as a more bluesy sound with a elements of Jazz and a couple of bad-ass-hardrocking moments. Rocket has all of those same elements, but blended into equal parts.
