Hi everyone, I would like to introduce myself as a new member of this forum. My name is Chris Archambault, 52 years of age, I am from Montreal, currently living in Peterborough, Ontario. For those of you who are not too sure, this is in Canada.... I am a guitar player (or was?)until I got a severe wrist injury some time ago and I am now forced to retire from the instrument due to constant pain when playing more than 30 minutes. All this to say that I am now falling back on the harmonica with a vengeance...I would call myself a novice player even though I have a solid knowledge of blues theory but when it comes to actually playing the thing it's another story...
Here is my question concerning the video tutorials and jam tracks. I have noticed on the tradebit site that the platform suggested is Apple, will it also work with windows? Thanks in advance and I am looking forward to be a participant on this fine forum

Hi chris, welcome to the forum.
The format (.mov) is of the Apple QuickTime player, but I can also play them with my Windows Media Player. So it should be no problem.

Hi, Chris, welcome to the forum. Yes, the lessons will work on windows pcs. I use a free viewer - "VLC", instead of Quicktime, and it works very well to play Adam's videos.

ChrisA,
I ballsed up my little finger years ago, which impeded my piano playing. The harp ain't such a bad fall-back, is it?

mickil, on top of that what I have discovered is that for some reason the harp feels a lot more natural to play for me than the guitar. So, I guess the trade is fair!

Playing guitar is a fine musical experience--playing blues harp is an addictive disease! LOL!
Welcome to the forum, Chris!
