I've decided to bite the bullet and lay myself open to abuse to you all by posting a video. I don't have the technology or knowhow to put it on youtube but it is on our local news website. It was from a gig we played in a local pub in Ross on Wye [England] last Saturday night. http://wyenot.com/news/2009-04-27-02.htm It isn't a particularly good recording and not one of our best tunes, but it was one of the few that the film crew [well, one man and his wife] were there for as they cover all sorts of events.
I'm sure you experts will tell me where I am going wrong and which harp I am playing [I am not giving a prize for the correct answer!]
We haven't played many gigs yet and have only been together about one year but I think we are making good progress.
OK guys, do your worst.

Thursday night is band night, and really Bristol is a bit of a long drag, at least an hour ech way and there's the toll on the bridge coming back. If I am in the area on a thursday I will look you up though.

Lumpy
I just watched and listened just fine on this old computer. The sound is what I call "good enough". It's classic local bar band rock and roll. I was happy that the guitars were in tune. The singing is good enough. Typical balance issue, too much of one guitar. And your lucky to have an atractive female guitar player in the mix. Stage presence does count. I say be happy with what you got and go with it. No need for any appolagies to anyone about your playing. By the same token , no bragging rights either. Nothing improves you like playing live in front of a crowd. You have a good thing going.
