Here are hours of mostly improvised music from my various groups over the years. I think most of you haven't heard what I really do.

Thanks for sharing those Chris. I've previewed your CD on Amazon, but it's nice to hear a whole song instead of a snippet.
I haven't listened to all of them all of the way through, but I like the Santana thing.

Thanks Preston,
the music ranges from 2003-2008
The stuff with Jason's band is how I sound these days but all the other stuff is still accessible somewhere in my head.
The slap style bassist in the Buddha's groove used to tour with Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder. The groovy slimy bassist is the man who has written porno soundtracks for the largest porn producer in the industry. If you're into that stuff then you've no doubt heard his grooves. On top of that he used to tour with George Benson and Lee Ritenour
The Jazz Gun group are all members of Peter Gabriel's band (except me)
The Michalek Strone trio isn't really notable except it was very edgy and avant garde. My use of effects developed with that group.

Buddha, Damn fine sir.... I must say that its very nice to hear a musician that plays the harmonica. That stuff you did with New Blood at about 1:15 through 1:30 where you cover those overblown highs to lows to mids without missing a beat or sacrficing tone is unbelievable. Opus1 is also fantastic stuff. Nice effects. I didn't get to them all but I will over time. Tel me, are all of these done with the same effects board you show on your you tube video? Thanks for sharing these, they are great! ---------- "Keep it in your mouth" - XHarp

they are all done with exactly the same effects board as the video except in the Michalek - Strone stuff I was using the POG instead of the HOG. The HOG dives one octave lower than the POG. I have since added a Boss Loop Station to the board so I can do a bunch of crazy loops.
That bit with Jason's band was at the last Rockin in the Rockies. I told Buckweed to play something and for shawn to tell Weed what chords he wanted to play. Then I just walked up to the mic and started playing. I love that!!! To me there is no better feeling than just making music in the moment. I was playing one of jason's harps customized by xxxx and you can hear me get thrown out of the zone at 1:43 when the blow 10 squirreled out on me, other than that I had a blast and it remains on my favorite moments with New Blood.
Thank you XHarp!!

I gotta warn you guys on this Buddha music--(I got it downloaded a couple of weeks ago when Chris emailed my the link to me--I would have shared but didn't know if it was OK to do)--
But the more you listen to this stuff--the more you like it--it even got me practicing scales and arpeggios and working like crazy to get overblows down (still just struggling with it though).
I think it's a secret plot to get us out of our blues bags!

The plot won't work on me neither ; very nice playing for sure, but frankly that music makes me yawn. Thanks for sharing it anyway, I just listened to a few tunes and will re-throw an ear on it some of these days.
