Local guy has one with warranty card - wants $100. Has Epiphone 1x12 with warranty crd and wants $200 for the pair. I heard good things about this little tube amp, and Adam recently said some nice things as well. To those who know - is this a good price? I see teh heads on EBAY for $140 new and he speakers for $100 more and they there is shipping.

that is a good price but you should go with the combo insted. i paid $99 for my combo. an its better then luggin around a head an cabenet.

Dan, I'm not sure what local is, but I have a head that's already been modified. Resistance to V1 increased, Cap Filters Beefed up. Tone cut added. Better Quality tubes placed in it. Epi VJr's are cool little 5w tone toys. Of course if you want it to play with modding it yourself I understand, but remember once you do the warranty card is worthless, and if you don't modify, you'll never get it to sound the best it can. As far as the Combo vs Head and Cab. They are both great, both have Eminence spec design speakers. The Eminence Lady Luck 12" is the ONLY 12" speaker I've ever liked for Harp.

I got a price of $175 for the head and the 1x12 cabinet. Have not made a move yet - lots of mods available and tweeks from the Epiphone web site! I can also get a Fender Champ 600 from the same guy for $150. I think the Epiphone sounds like a better deal. Bigger speaker and I hear the speaker itself is a really good one from Bluz....
