Hi everybody, I’am harp raw beginner and I’ am writing about Adams Gussow beginner special tutorial. I think that it’s worth every penny and even more. I am very glad that I found Mr. Gussow on YouTube and on that way I was guided to this webpage and this forum. His teaching methods are great and he has very friendly approach to his students (to me).I manage to hit single notes, little bit of bending on 4,3,2,1 hole, not to well with catching the rhythm and I know couple of basic songs like o’Suzana, Amazing Grace & etc. What to do when next? I don’t know how to continue? From where? What to do to come to the point to learn some riffs because of the speed and other stuff. Please give me some suggestions.

Hey Baru, welcome aboard. I would definetely check out Adam's Tone Clinic lesson next. All the licks in the world are ugly if you don't have good tone. Then I would definetely start learning the blues scale.

1. Just take it one step at a time.

2. You'll master one teqhnique then get bored/sick off the sound you're making; you'll want to sound better.

3. Then you'll learn a new trick and feel great, elated.

Then you'll go back to 2, then 3... ad infinitum.

But, all the time you keep at it, you'll keep sounding better, you'll keep surprising yourself.

Welcome to the board.

I was just jamming with my band. For the first time ever I was doing well enough so I was having more fun playing the harp than singing (although my Tom Waite impression was still kind of fun, even if it did cause a coughing fit).
