Thanks G!
Yes, I tried "Summertime" about 2 years ago, when I couldn't get a clean bend on the 3 draw. This was very frustrating since several bars end on the 3 draw bend, but it sounded like a duck with a heavy cold. However my bending has dramatically improved over the last year, so I'm planning to give it a go again in the near future, because I think it's a great song. It's also a good song for learning how to navigate on the harp, especially when trying to play it in different positions (on the same harp) ---------- DutchBones Tube

Like always really enjoyed your playing Dutch. Agree with your own comment on variation, maybe a quick different solo would have been cool?

Very Cool, Dutch! I like the very European flavor--where did you get the back track?
This gives me something new to work with--thanks!
For me, an occasional foray into the holes beyond 6 would vary it a bit more--I like the high end a lot in 3rd position playing--pretty much any draw note will work. . .

Gloth - As you probably figured out from my reply I didn't fully "get" your comment about "Summertime". However this morning when I went to HamonicaJam.com and to the Bushman forum, Summertime and Porgy & Bess were the main key words, so I took another listen to my own track and..... shh... sounds pretty much like the opening from summertime. Have to admit that I have been listen to lots of different versions on youtube over the past few months, because summertime is on my "Must Do" list. It's very embarrassing that I'm the last one to notice though... perhaps if I had used an A harp (which I used for summertime) I would have heard it. Thought I really made a cool line all be my self...bummer.... Guess my changes of becoming something that smells like a musician, have become very slim.....
Ryan - Glad you like it and yes, you're right, adding a nice solo would have been a big plus. Guess I have to try harder...
Oldwailer - Thanks! I tried to go to the bottom (of the harp) to add some variation, but it didn't work well (for me) going to the top would have been the way to go... why didn't I figure that out by my self..? btw - the backtrack is available at Backing Tracks and is called "Not There" . Just make sure you read the "Permissions Statement"
(ps:"Old Wailer Blues" is still on the "Must Do" list but will come a little later) ---------- DutchBones Tube
