Hi Guys,
I have been listening to George Harmonica Smith alot recently and he plays great chromatic but it seems with reverb on some of the tracks.
I was wondering why do players like Adam etc play with a Delay rather than a Reverb pedal.
I have a DVD of Gary Smith recommending a reverb Tank to get a nice wet chicago sound and it seems that not many people use these tanks or an emulator pedal I was wondering why?
Your thoughts please.

reverb is a dirty echo really. to much can sound bad. with a delay you can have more echo without sounding muddy.

personally i think delay does a better job at filling the gaps. the repeat notes from the delay play in a harmony with the played notes.

much of this comes from my years as a guitar player but i always thought of it as reverb gives you a more acoustical "in a big room" sound. delay makes it sound like your doing more then you are, if that makes sense
