Honestly I consider myself a sub-par harmonica player. Yet when the music starts playing its like a channel in my brain unlocks and I BECOME A MUSICIAN. How about you guys.----------

if im feeling emotional or thinking about something emotional when i play i get sucked into the zone real hard. its a great feeling. its easy to get to if you smoke. but when your sober an you get there its even better.

I think that sometimes it depends on how much energy you've got: some days I can really blow; on others it seems like really hard work.
I suppose it's got something to do with quality of sleep / diet / intake of booze, etc, etc.

True Mickil some days energy are a huge factor. And Jon I did start the harmonica after a major break-up.

BlackNote, I too started - well, went back to - the harp after busting up with a woman.
If I were to bump into her now, I think I'd want to thank her. Apart from stating the obvious thing, I get a lot more pleasure out of my harps!

JS, thanks. Your observation really made me laugh out loud, or LOL, as I suppose I should type these days.
I'd not thought to use that phrase again; just typed it by-the-by. Now I'm gonna throw it in whenever it seems the time is right with peeps.
