For the life of me I can never figure out why it seems that whenever modern blues harp players are discussed, that Mark Ford and Andy Just never seem to be mentioned.

Both have excellent chops and stellar tone, both are imaginative players.

Am I missing something?

I agree. I put Mark Ford on my best of list as "most underrated". There's a live album with both of them playing together caled "Here We Go".

I have that album and also a number of other stuff by the Ford Blues Band. The live version on "Here We Go" of "Fannie Mae" is simply phenomenal in my book!

I'm currently trying to get a copy of Andy Just "Don't Cry". I had it years ago on cassette and thought it was great.
