Here is my 'entry;' this is just to show people some ideas on what to do.

Yes, Chris sent me this track before. I learned the scales myself, and used it for this. Try it, please! Someone will win a lesson, so do it!

Zack,
I was looking around on your YouTube channel to get a feel for your playing, and when I saw the old vid of you and the Young Man Band, I knew I had seen you guys before on YTube. I remebered seeing this kid totally rip up Guitarski's solo on "Snowflakes and Horses", so I did a little searching and found it again. We know where you are at on harp now, what's that guitar player doing these days? He looks like a guitar prodigy on this vid. Good job on this song back then by the way, you did a great job on harp, and the whole band rocked for no older than you guys look!

Thanks man! That guitarist is in my band, and he STILL rules, even more actually. We're doing all kinds of gigs this summer in Maine and his playing his definitely getting shown off, ESPECIALLY in the Ricci songs! I'll tell him you liked his playing :-D

I really whish I had started at the age you guys where in this vid.

Back then I had ZERO interest in playing an instrument. I was into sports and not a (ahem) "Band Geek". (well that's what I thought back then, nobody get bent out of shape)

I'm quickly aproaching 30, and I wonder what would be different if I had started younger......

I was never a 'band geek' in that sense, and I've never really liked sports. It just sparked an interest in me for some reason, this music thing.

No, I didn't mean to say that's what you where. That's just what MY mind set was back then. You see where I grew up, there wasn't alot of young guys and girls doing anything other than High School Jazz or marching band. Looking back on it, I think I was "musically sheltered", if you will.

No, I know what you mean. I'm not into those types, they are all READ NOTES, I'm more IMPROVISE AND READ NOTES. They couldn't improvise if they needed to to say their lives.

Hey Arbite, I'll help you out with criticism. You did okay what with you were working with. Of course, not like Christelle's but she knows a little more about positions, as you are admitting you don't know twelfth. It is an okay version, but when the chords started getting weird you weren't able to follow along, which is the most difficult part as you really need to change position. Of course, I am trying to break out of that, and just see it as notes to play. I'd say good attempt, but the pieces where the chords were different you'd need to work on. Those parts are difficult as you need to utilize the bends on the 3 draw and the overblows.

Don't worry about it, you're not so much a bad player as much as you are a DEVELOPING player. This is just part of the learning experience.

12th is very easy on the middle range of the harmonica. You should have not issues there. Then there is a part where it goes to 5th, which is tough, then it goes to third (or you can stay in fifth as the notes are pretty close to each other). With third though you must not do the five draw or six overblow as it makes it minor. If you can overblow the five overblow is the major third of the D major scale in third.

Whoa, just because someone's a band geek doesn't mean they can't improvise. I'd probably consider myself a band geek, so careful with your comments there :-P Our school has a jazz band, and many of our "band geeks" could own most harmonica players; they can improvise to more than just blues anyways...
