I will have listened to this track more than 40 (no, make that) 60 times....

I can say for sure that this is the best track I've heard in years....
Baba Blues_St. James Infirmary

This is the most heart and gut wrenching version I've ever heard,. I found it through on the Bluesharp.nl forum. Unfortunately I don't know who the artist is but I put up a request for information. So when I know I let you know...

Lots of space to add harp and a killer sax solo where we all can learn from...

Found another link to a compilation of different versions of St. James Infirmary, the track is #16:

How are you playing it Dutch? I found that a Dm harp in 2nd position is pretty good--couldn't find the right notes on a C in 3rd position.

Nice find!

Very nice, indeed. It is in A minor (so G in 3rd it is), and makes for a very nice play along...

That's right, it's A minor, so G in 3rd sounds best to me (but I like subtle comping)

we do this in the duo. Am with a G in 3rd. powerful song as are many minor key songs.

G in 3rd ie Am is correct fit for me. Although I agree with Oldwailer that 2nd Pos Am on a Lee Oskar Natural Minor which is labeled in Am but is a Dm in 1st Pos is an equally good fit.

Oldwailer, we have had this discussion before vis a vis the Lee Oskar natural minors and the confusion with labels. However I now find that a medley of St James Infirmary- Summertime & Wayfaring Stranger (I think suggested by you) works really well on the Am Natural Minor ie in 2nd pos -Am.
