I'm glad too....
EVERY DAY... how's the harp? When's the harp gonna be done? Any progress on the harp? send me a file of how it sounds? do you think it gonna be a good harp? Send me a picture of the harp.

UGH...so after quite a few STFUs and a couple of months he's got the damn harp and I can move on to other stuff.

He's playing the 6 hole overblow mainly.

I believe it's the easiest one to get and a Bb harp is supposedly the easiest key to get it on.

I have just started doing them myself. Can get the hole 6 & 5 easily, the 4 is a bit more difficult as Zack states.

When Zack looks at that thing, there is such love in his eyes. See 1:03 -- He looks like he wants to jump its bones...

LOL!!

It's great to see the passion that he has for playing and instruments.

Like myself, Zack has worked on customising his own harps. So when he sees a good harp he appreciates all the work that has gone into it.

I just finished customising a Bb Marine Band and all I have done all day is sit here playing it. Because it's such a nice instrument.
Mind you I'm still looking for ways to improve it though! :)

Elwood, you rule! You should see the video I got of me opening up the package. I looked amazed. Maybe I'll upload that since it is only a minute long or so :-D

So true Kingley, I understand the hard work they do. I am beginning to be able to like doing it. At times I'd get so angry. Now it's peaceful with a glass of water and a fan on low or something. I LOVE it. :-D

Thanks Zack.

Yes I'm tongue blocking the overblows. Did them for the first time two days ago.
Holes 6 & 5 are pretty easy on a Bb. Hole 4 is a little harder to get.

I plan to practice them until I can get them fluidly on every key harp.
That should also help with my quest to play all my blow bends tongue blocked in every key as well.

I currently play everything except blow bends tongue blocked as I find it easier and quicker to navigate around the harp like that.

I can't lip purse to save my life! :)

Thanks so much Arbite! Yes, I do that as I haven't heard many people do it, but one notable person that does is Paul Butterfield, especially on Driftin' and Driftin' off of his live album. Thanks so much man :D I believe it is 3 and 4 draw. More three, with a touch of four.

Well Kingley, that harp sure sounds good and loud. As for the overblows I can't tell where they are, so it seems to me they're played perfectly !
