Hey that old Mouse Ear Marine Band you sent in for restoration turned out to be SO, SO sweet! It was pretty moldy inside, etc. a little out of tune, but after a good cleaning, comb sanding and sealing, by-ear tuning, a few baths in Lime Away, it is fabulous. The comb finished curing this morning, so I put it all together and gave it a try out. I most solemly and sincerely sware that I did not emboss this harmonica, all I did in that regard was minor gapping work. I was able to get 8-9-10 overdraws very easily, the 10 overdraw was like butter. I really could not believe that overdraw. I was honored to help this fine harmonica be what it could be. You should have it by weekend.

Thanks Dave! The story behind this is that I kind of inherited it from my wife's grandmother's sister in law. I know that's a mouthful. I believe it to be part of the personal effects of my wife's grandmother's brother, who died at Iwo Jima. Due to a lawyer screw up, my wife inherited NONE of the personal affects from the estate: we had to buy them (long story.) I bought this harp and a tremelo harp that Joe Filisko told me was more of a toy for $10 each. I'm really looking forward to playing it.
