I tried finding the original thread and failed..
Over the years I've read everything online and even purchased a video set on "blueprinting" reedplates. I've never been successful until watching the video Chris Michalek posted in this forum. The one thing he said that made the big difference is when he mentioned calling Filisko, and hearing the "plinking" in the background. That did it. What I failed to do was continue to plink the embossed slot until the reed worked itself clear! This single exercise creates a harmonica thats so much easier to play.

its no joke dude, this harp I'm working on now has over 12 hours of plinking in it.

Does that much plinking (or other work) shorten the life span of the reeds?

look on chris's youtube channel its on there.

also i been tryin to do some reed work on some harps. i was wondering what exactly happens from plinkin the reed? like does it slowly take away from the edge till its just the right fit?
