I've just added a new date to the reformed Satan and Adam tour: Wednesday, 8/12 at the Jewish Mother in Virginia Beach. I was forced to cancel a hoped-for reschedule in Huntington, WV while waiting for Sterling Magee's sister Janet to weigh in; for the past week, it seemed likely, in fact, that we would have to cancel the three dates we'd rescheduled.

Then, in the span of 12 hours, I got a firm offer from a club in Virginia Beach--ideal routing from Tampa to Philly, making things much easier on Sterling and the boys, although somewhat hard on me--and Janet gave us the go-ahead.

Those of you in the Virginia Beach area, please spread the word.

Janet, who signs off every time Sterling needs to spend a night away from his retirement home, told us that in the future, we should plan "no tours that keep him away more than three nights."

This is for real. It means that those of you who can attend the shows in the Northeast--Philly, Portsmouth NH, Piermont NY--should know that you'll most likely never have another chance to see us up that way. Nor will we ever make it overseas. That's the deal. I don't make the rules, I just follow them.

If we tour in the future, it'll consist of places like Charleston SC, Atlanta, Tuscaloosa AL, Birmingham AL.

My longterm hope is that we'll do fly-ins to US blues festivals over the next few years, but that's no more than a dream at this point.

Oh: one more news item: We are planning a Satan and Adam fundraiser on Tuesday, July 14th at the Peninsula Inn in Gulfport, FL. We are going to record a new album in the days following the fundraiser, right there in Tampa, with the same woman (Rachel Faro) who produced our first two albums.

Now that is sad news Adam.
I guess us Brits will just have to come to you.
