I have made reservations for a room for Spah for Aug. 11, 09 on Saturday, the 15th. The room has two Sleep number double beds--I only need one, and would like to save $200 by sharing the room.
Anybody interested? I am an older man with a straight orientation. I may or may not snore, and I like to get some sleep between the hours of 2 a.m. to about 10 in the morning--unless I am having too much fun staying up.
I think the room is around $430 with the tax--I would expect to split that amount.
Let me know if you need a room. . .

I'm more than willing. However, let me 'splain my situation:
I live within 3 hours of Sac. I fully intend to get to SPAH. But, I also have a very important project that has fairly good odds of landing right when SPAH is taking place. This is for a client that has been working to get their logistical ducks in a row for several months. Once they do, they will want the divers to come in to do the installation. The latest schedule that I recieved shows "early to mid-August" as the projected installation window. The operation will take about 3 weeks.
Like everyone, I am a whore of the most unapologetic magnitude. So, if they say jump, I gotta jump.
Having said that, I'd be willing to commit to footing my share of the bill, even if I end up on the floor. I have no trouble with 'fixing a pallet on your floor' if you can get someone else to pay for the other bed. I'm a guy who can be fine bivy'ing in the bushes out under the sprinklers if need be.
So, you can keep soliciting, and I will still contribute if you want to defray expenses and pare down costs even more.
If you care to discuss, contact me direct via the Buddha coconut telegraph. He has my email address. Don't pay any attention to his appraisal of my person or idosyncrasies. His dogs know the truth.

Hey, Buzz--you lived through the visit to dogland--that's good enough for me--I have implicit trust in Buddha's Dogs and their ability to judge character.
We can work something on the sharing of the bill--I'm not so into saving money that I need to fill the floor--but if you make it--we can wing it--I'll go ahead and count you as a possible. . .

Very well, then. Sounds like a deal. I appreciate it.
As we get closer, I can keep you updated on the exponential definition of probability. Whether or not you snore is no problem. I reserve the right to exercise that option myself. I've spent my entire adult life in small camps and on boats in close interactive proximity with a bunch of people in tight quarters for long periods of time. I know how to act.
I hope you aren't offended by the aroma of coffee, flatulence or whiskey on ice.
By the way, those dogs may or may not be accurate judges of character. I think they profiled me.

Wailer, I pop the 200 bucks for the room if you can send me an airplane ticket (Tokyo - USA, both ways)
... silence ...... Oooohh heck, kind of figured you wouldn't go for it.... anyway it was worth a try.... we could have jammed all night, doing "Old Wailer's Blues" Guess I've got to do it alone now.... (ahh, wish I had your problem) ---------- DutchBones Tube

Sorry, Dutch--I can't quite do that deal--
Contact me any time for updates, Buz--get my address by just clicking my username--it's pretty predictable.
Shit--I didn't know the dogs do profiles--I kind of wondered what they were doing with that clipboard!

Buz that doesn't sound too bad.... NOW coffee that smells like farts (excuse me, flatulence) or whiskey that tastes like (c)old coffee, THAT'S a problem.... ---------- DutchBones Tube
