Cadillac John Nolden (harp, singing) and Bill Able performed today in PA coming all the way from Mississippi.
You ever see them Adam? I'm assuming yes since you live in MS, but if not I hope you do sometime.
I had a chance to talk with Cadillac John, bless that man he is going on 83. We chatted for a little, but the band started playing again and I couldn't hear what he was saying (he even tried say it straight in my ear)so I just smiled and nodded (hopefully it wasn't the most important information I'll ever learn.) I didn't want to trouble the man to repeat himself anyway, it was nice enough for him to stop and talk at all.
He was a simple player, but man his tone was something else. It was a very different experience from listening to the standard blues structure. I really like the style, I want to learn more about it.
