I emailed Joe Filisko and asked who this was. I thought Johnny Woods was a good guess; I also suggested Lonnie Glosson or Wayne Rainey. Wrong! Here's what Joe wrote:

I've never even heard of Robert Diggs. So there you go. I'm glad we've got Joe around to answer this sort of question.
