No I'm not talking about the guy with the youtube channel. I mean the real guy. He was an incredible country blues harp player; much in the style of Sonny Terry but with his own twists.

Have any of you heard of him? What are your thoughts on his playing style?
I think that on this particular cut, he is playing some brilliant solo harp, with excellent country style phrasing.

Peg Leg is fantastic. His Fox Chase is mind blowing. Kind of like Mississippi Fred McDowell playing Shake Em On Down in that the rhythm is unbelievable. If you like the country harp style also try some music by The Delmore Brothers which has great harp on it .

Superchucker77:Yea man this is fantastic.A story man reminds of the way Bukka white went about his art on his guitar.

His music and message is almost hypnotic, a very clever skill incorporating everything into his work to get you to listen.

Yea a lesson for everyone in any style of blues or any type of music for that matter.

I have an idea with the long term economic problems that blues musos and musos in general will go and write about the now and reflect the world in that way.
Or at least the true musos will.

Yea Iv'e been a muso a long time but Iv'e already learnt a few things from watching the 2 clips, great post.

Yeah Peg Leg Sam is great.

A couple of other great country blues harp players (to me at least) are, J.C. Burris (Sonny Terrys nephew), Elder Roma Wilson,

Just by coincidence I just picked up a copy of Kickin' It!. I would loved to see him perform - especially the fox chase!
