Here it is for you all to comment on. This is a live rehursal at a place called On stage just outside of Waikiki. Audio is not that great. The harp player is me. Our band is called Burnin' Blue but the audio is tagged Pauhana blues band.

If you are interested look soon as it will only be up for a short while. Have at it.

bluesnut - nice one, your band has a very good 'groove' You are all relaxed and the blues flows..well done

By the way I called my blues band, about 10 years ago,
'THE WAKIKI ICEMEN'
I dunno where that came from because I've never been to that place and it doesent get any snow or ice I expect..anyway fans loved the name!

Well what can I say you put your self up for comment
so here is mine.
It is horrible. I will try and justify why i say this.
Every one thinks they can play blues right. Every young kid starting out usually sets out playing blues or attempting to.
I won't go into musicalities that is an other issue but the essential ingrediant of blues is missing here it is totally void.
If you think that is good and you get regular gigs doing that well good for you.It is only my opinion and I'm a no body.
Climb out of your egos and look in yourself at that band
then you may be able to gain a better picture of what I hear.

Basically there are no blues in it.

Hey Bluesnut, it looks to me like Sopwith is taking the Sonny Boy Williamson approach with you. My advice is that you should keep doing what you're doing with the band and listen more to the great ones. Play some traditional stuff, and keep practicing.

Honest opinions are welcome or I would have kept it to myself. Sopwithcamels, I have no ego or shame for that matter and I know we have a lot to improve on.

That being said Sop, please give more detail on the musicalities to fill the void so i can learn from your what your ear tells you. My gole is to play the blues right and I consider constructive critisizm as a learning tool.

Harpist, i listen to the greats every day and try to improve a little every day too. We do Hoochie Coochie man but that did not get on there.

For a buncha guys just getting the opportunity to play a gig a night a week, its pretty good... how long have you been doing it is the question. sounds like youre just having a blast there...

harp was a little low at times on some tracks, but good fill. work on a badass solo at the bridge, turn up the volume, go back to the fill? sheeeeit, everyone in the room will think youre the best.
