Alright everybody, it's the moment you've all been waiting for: The Modern Blues Harmonica store is officially open for business! And you guy's get first crack at it! Right now, for the next TWO weeks, the ONLY link to access the store is RIGHT HERE! You won't be able to find it through Google or even through the cafepress directory yet, because the prices are now lower than they will be once it goes fully online. That's right, members of this forum get the next two weeks to buy items at a little discount, just for being members of the awesomest online blues harmonica community anywhere! After Adam gets back from his short tour, the prices will go up a little, so get your Merch now!
There are T-shirts, Hoodies, Polos, Tanks, Mugs, and much more! They feature various combinations of member submitted/suggested designs! There is the I IV V logo (originally proposed by jonsparrow, modified by me), the standard MBH website Logo (on the top of this page), the MBH Circle logo (originally designed by Preston, modified by me), A Blue 3rd logo (originally proposed by Kyzer Sosa, and then designed by me), and a sweet "Devilishly Difficult" logo (designed by yours truly)!
While you are at the store, please take a look around. See a product you think needs to be changed? See a typo, or something that doesn't make sense? Post your comments and suggestions here, so Adam and I can fix 'em! So what are you waiting for? Haad over to the store right now!

Those are the lowered prices? They seem like the standard prices for apparel to me, I would hope they wouldn't be hiked up too much further.

I'm not looking to call shenanigans or starting a gripe movement, I did notice the cheaper sleeveless and golf shirt prices. I just wanted an idea on what the actual price was going to be and how much of a sale this was. I was thinking, that the prices would go up around $5. When someone sees the standard MBH shirt for $25.99, it does look discouraging and can turn off a potential buyer who might not have such a close ties to this site.
Seeing how it isn't the case, it doesn't really matter. Either way I wouldn't have been affected, I'm still buying that awesome blue third shirt and that oh so sweet Golf shirt. ---------- Michael

I think this is all cool now, but I just want to add a little more "backstory". I know that it is possible to get t-shirts made for less than what cafepress charges. This is how folks can sell $10 T-shirts at shows. However, doing this through cafepress offers some really great advantages to both Adam (as a business owner) and us (as customers). First, cafepress offers tons of items that Adam can put his logo's on, and that we can buy. Much more than your standard white T-shirt! Quality and price run the gamut from inexpensive (~$10 for the bargain tee) to slightly more expensive ($25 for the organic cotton stuff, of which we elected not to have any). Second. Adam doesn't have to buy any stock. This means he doesn't have to front any money r take too much risk. It also means that we can get whatever product we want when we want it. No more getting stuck with a bunch of XX-large that no one wants to buy! Third, Doing it this way means that we can update, change, modify, or add logo's products, etc. whenever we want. Finally, cafepress takes care of all the stuff that makes selling things on line a hassle. The sorcing, procuring and storing the products, printing them, secure ordering, the payment processing, the boxing and shipping, the returns, etc. By the way, I once ordered a shirt from cafepress, and accidentally ordered the wrong size. I noticed after it got to me, sent an e-mail, and within a week cafepress sent me another shirt, and let me keep the other one even though it was MY FAULT. So, for all that, cafepress takes it's cut, and Adam adds a VERY small amount to that. All in all, I think we all win.
Cheers,
Isaac

Michael:
No offense taken. Truth is, when Isaac first sent me to the site to see what he'd started to create, my very first comment was more or less the same as yours: "These prices don't seem quite as cheap as I thought they'd be." Isaac reminded me that the usual rock-concert T's cost $25 these days.
Still, CafePress makes sense for all the reasons Isaac offers.
I should note that we did, obviously, have the option of not even thinking about offering people here a discount, but merely setting up the store, setting prices, and opening it for one and all. I'm glad we did it this way, instead.
Thanks, everybody, for your brilliant designs and endless constructive input! I think we finally arrived at a workable compromise. But this is a work in progress and will surely evolve.

Nice, very nice. I picked up 3 shirts for myself and one for my grandson, w/the harmonica picture logo and everyone has to have a meaningful bumpersticker. Thank you Adam and Isaacullah. And since I buy quite a few other musician type Tees I know the prices are very fine, for this 63 yr. old harp pounder.

Yeah, that's the worst case scenario, but I was wondering if it is a company with a presence in more than one country - like Amazon. I've ordered stuff from Amazon US, but it's been dispatched via Amazon UK so I've never paid duty to 'import' it. Maybe Cafepress has a UK (or EU) printing operation - hence the .co.uk site???

Nice work, guys...
Brits, I'm heading from London to Detroit in two weeks, back to London in the first week of September. If there are any serious qualms about the price difference I'd be glad to collect on your behalf and rendezvous with you in the UK. Drop me an email at muz.hunter [at] gmail.com.

OK thanks for sorting that out Kingley, and thanks for the offer Elwood.
AND...
thank you to Isaac, Preston, Adam, Jon and everyone else who has seen this through from an idea to reality. It's not your fault that I live in rip-off Britain and I want you to know that I appreciate what you've done - even if I can't afford to buy anything. The gear looks great!

Gents,
Man oh man! You really put this into operation. Very nice Indeed. I will be shopping.
Who knew my casual post - and no work on my part - would result in such a great looking store!
Issac, what do you think about an official MBH Video game....????
NICE JOB!

If you want my books, the best place to shop for them is the webpage here marked "Adam's books for sale." Yes, please buy them. My son is almost toilet trained, but, as they say, The Baby Needs Diapers.
