Happened to be in Trossingen, Germany, yesterday so had to have a look at the Hohner harmonica museum. Fine if you wanna look at 2300 different harps (which i did) but not so much for the blues harp fan. However, suitably inspired ,i went to the nearest music shop to treat myself to a Marine Band De-Luxe. Managed to get what i wanted with very dodgy German ( think i nearly ended up with a piano accordion and a set of bagpipes). Had a little try-out in a quiet corner to make sure i had´nt bought a lemon, and the guy in the shop came over with a guitar, gave me an encouraging nod and launched into a very catchy twelve-bar. What could i do? Broke into a sweat and played the back off it! Another customer jumped on a piano and the jam was on.I got more out of that few minutes than any amount of woodshedding and after smiles and hand-shakes all round, floated out of the shop about two feet off the ground. Just shows what that little tin sandwich can do.

An impromptu jam, and a good one at that, now that's what life's all about. Great Story. Thanks for sharing.
