well i got my prewar marine band in "G" today for any one who cares. it sounds nice an is louder then the current MB in G i have. also noticable differnce other then the star on the bottom plate...the logo an text an numbers are larger. the numbers are higher up. the curve on the back is larger. the cover plates are way more open. also the cover plates slant where its nailed. the "G" is also a slightly differnt font. ill be posting before an after pics. cant wait to actually play it. dont realy wanna put it in my mouth in the state its in.

Nice Jon, I've got a couple on the way grabbed them out of curiosity and the fact that no one really knew what they were so the cost was low. I'll compare notes with you after mine come in.

well i did my best cleaning it up. still looks realy worn but i dont think there is anything i can do about it. i got all the rust off. cleaned every thing up sealed the comb. heres some before and after pics an some comparison pics to a modern MB in the same key. also when comparing it to a modern harp the new harp just sounds a little bit duller. other then that they play exactly the same. not bad for an 80 year old harp.
