Hey there guys just one thing, when I try to play the high notes on my harps it goes all squeaky I have tried changing my mouth shape but it still is mucked up. Are there any modifications that I can do to make it sound proper? Or what is wrong?

I know this isn't the answer you want to hear but...try changing your mouth shape some more. It's all in the embouchure.

Also play very gently on the top end. Very tiny reeds that just need to be finessed not forced. Make love to them. :)

Just in case...are these quality harps we're talking about? My old cheapos were so poorly gapped there was no solution but to open them up, so you could play like moose said. It took me only a couple of days to figure this out and get more quality harps. Now the cheapos are good tech practice tools.

Good harps make learning so much easier. If you can't play high..you're still learning ..like everybody else is, just at a different stage. I am starting to covet a custom harp..I really like what overblows do for my runs. I can actually see why now. Believe me I am working on my tech skills on the cheapos...i want 4,5, and 6 to pop in like all the rest of my bent notes do.

Step one..get good harps if yours aren't already. forgive my long windedness..I am bored stiff here on pain meds.
