I can't remember if we've had a thread on this subject.

Does any of you own a bass harmonica? If so, what key is it?

Or do the super lows go as low as basses? I remember a thread on super lows.

I notice that Harmonicas Direct don't sell bass harps.

I got a cheap chinese made one from an eBay shop in the states. Not well constructed, but a fair bit of tweaking got it playing reasonably well. It's the hinged variety with sharps on the top. I just really wanted to try one out without spending hundreds of pounds. The big bass harps are blow only and are octave tuned. Definitely fun to play! Superlows are a different beast. Also great fun. I have a Low Low F and Low G. They have a slow attack and are valved on the bottom reeds. They can sound like a bowed instrument, the 1-4 octave sounds fantastic on them. Bending the bottom 2 holes is very hard. I can get a wobble on the 2 but the 1 hole bend eludes me still. It is possible though, I know Ben Bouman can do. I think the superlows may be as low as a bass (can't check right now, maybe later) but the tonality, (esp. because of the octave tuning of the latter) is very different.
