I play mainly classic stuff but when I go to jams and open mic nights, I find a lot of people playing clapton, cream and zeppelin style rock blues, which is difficult to play along to. I know people like adam and jason can to this, but any licks or suggestions would help. :)

Hi Jfllr1 welcome to the forumn. I'm no professional, but here's my thoughts:
Don't play a whole lotta flat 5ths. Takeing that out of the blues scale gives you the minor pentatonic, which is what the majority of rock songs are based off of.
Jump from low octave to high octave in the middle of a riff. re: Aerosmith Walk this Way in cross harp
+4 -4' -4 +6 +4 -4' -4 +6 -2
(ironically, this tab of a rock song actually includes a flat 5th. Sorry. I'll be quiet now.)

Try listening to Dave Gage's band GAGE www.davegage.com Rock harmonica..he plays in minor keys a lot
