After playing at home, getting lessons off of the internet, boring the pants off me missus with the same old licks, I went along to London harps ( harmonica club ) last week and spoke to other harpers in the flesh rather than through the web. I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I got there early and sat in with the beginners which was great for confidence building. When I've played in front of people before I've always tensed up, lost tone and timing. It was a great relaxed atmosphere and I played along with a guitarist for the 1st time. Lee Sankey was even there having a meeting but didn't come down to play but apparently he does normally. If anyone is in or around London then I highly recommend it.

Hey, that's literally a 5-minute walk from where I work in Rosebery Avenue. I guess I'll have to try to come along.

Hey Luke thanks for posting that...I'd never heard of this before. I'll try and get along to one of these sessions. It would be great to meet a few other of the UK forum members too.
