Hi,
I acquired a Shure 565 as part of a job lot. It works in theory, but I need to get a new plug element to make it gig worthy and they're not easy to source in the UK.

I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience of using this mic for harp - Hi-Z into an amp? How does it compare to say a CM Green Bullet or Shure 545?

Or am I better off sticking with what I've got and wasting my time on a different project?

Cheers.

This is a great mic for harp. It gives a pretty clean tone but you can get a dirty sound by adjusting your cup.
I've used it with my Fender 600 at the local jam and it sounded great. Definitely worth sticking a new jack plug on it...you won't be disappointed.
