I thought some of you may like a blues image of yourself in action. I’ve created some images of those who took part in HPC2 plus a couple of other video posters to harpfriends. Adam and Buddha too, because I will want to ask a small favour of them in HPC3.
I grabbed the images from YouTube and fiddled with them so they look similar to the image in the “Blow Your Brains Out” poster. They look odd full size, (about 5 inches) but shrunk to 80 x 80 pixels, they look great. You could use them as an avatar if you belong to other forums or you could use them in your signature on this site if you want. Just place your cursor over your image, right click and save it to your computer and use as you like.
IMPORTANT
In order to use the image, you will need to upload it to a hosting site. Don't link to it on my website because it will disappear when I next de-clutter my site files.
If you want the larger image, let me know and I can email it to you. You can use it to make posters or banners etc, but I don’t think the quality would be good enough to blow it up for printing.
There are a few people that I wanted to do but couldn’t because of the following reasons. Video too dark (jonsparrow). Image too small - too far back from webcam (preston) or you just wouldn’t keep still (isaacullah - but I got you in the end.
So the idea is that for HPC3, I will attempt to grab all those that partake and make their images available too. So please bare in mind, get closer to the webcam, try not to have a fussy background and mickil, put a shilling in the meter and turn a light on. I’ll do you another one but I need more light next time.
Please let me know if anyone considers this a breech of their privacy and would rather I deleted their image.
@isaacullah@ Pleasure is mine. "Ant's, Adam's, and MrSo&So's look the best!". I sat through all the videos time and time again to try and catch an emotional, soulful hand gesture and look in the eyes but very often the light wasn't quite right or something else was wrong and I had to do the best I could. I'll do mickil and oldwailer again sometime hopefully their HPC3 submissions will give more opportunities of a better image. Thanks.
Damn...Isaac, how did you get the pic to show up in your sig? I tried cutting the path but it shows up as the path...I guess I should check the 'how to' section.
@isaacullah jaymcc28@ Just a note to say that your signature image is linked to your image hosted on my website. That will be OK for a while but I will not be keeping these on my website for too long as it will bump my traffic up and cost me. If you could copy the image file to your computer and get it hosted by either your own site space or an image hosting site like photobucket or flickr that would help me a great deal. I'll leave them for now but bare in mind I will be moving them off my site at some stage as I have tons of stuff on there and need to housekeep at regular intervals. Thanks. ----------
@Dutchbones@ I did look at your videos and couldn't get a decent shot. Some you use visual effects on which didn't help and the others I saw, you were looking down most of the time and all I could get was the peak of your cap. I'll try again later. ----------
@DutchBones@ I did try that one but it gave me problems. I need to put the image through various filters and the white hat bleached the image and put your face into shade and there were no shades of grey that I could work with. I've just seen your 'My Baby' video again. That looks more promising. OK You are a legend. You are lying under the Buddha:)
@ANT: I had asked Isaac the same question but then realized I should go and look at the "HOW TO" section. I found it there under "post a picture". Go to this link:
Yeah, I just googled "how to link to an image html", and copied and pasted the code. Tooka, I'll rework so it points to my own website where I'll host the image
