My Bb harp's 4 draw finally started going flat after a year. I've practiced tuning on cheap harps, but this is a sp 20. So, I decided 'what the heck, its ruined already.' I take file to reed. All is well until a week later, it goes flat again. I tune it again, and it went flat in 2 minutes. Why is this happening? I don't believe that its too much breath force because its the only hap of mine to go flat (though my d harp is a little out of tune).

It sounds like the reed probably has a stress fracture. Best to replace that reed.
If you haven't learnt to do that yet. Buy a new harp and keep the old one for spares for when you have learnt to replace reeds.
I still haven't got into replacing reeds yet myself (I need to make some tools for doing it).
But I always keep any harps I can no longer tune up. So that way I'll have a healthy stock of parts when I do start replacing reeds.

Sweet. Now I get to buy a new harp!
B radical, manji, crossover...this could not have happened at a better time.

Your first impression was right, reed was ruined before you touched it. Least you got an extra two weeks on life support.

I can't say I'm optimistic to spend money. Just optimistic to have a working Bb harp. Besides, my broken one was a sp 20, which I don't like so much. This is my first harp to go south, so now I have a chance to try something different.
