Is there any interest in an Oct 10th workshop with Rick Estrin before his show at the Pearl in Dallas? He is open to the possibility if enough folks are interested.

If by Dallas you mean Philly then yes...

Okay, sorry for mucking up your thread.

Have a blast at the show!

I hope you're able to make it fly. Next time you speak to Rick, if you do, tell him I really REALLY enjoyed his instructional video. (RICK ESTRIN REVEALS! SECRETS, SUBTLETIES AND TRICKS OF THE BLUES HARMONICA. Coastin' Hank DVD 9001.) I recommend it highly.

BTW, although I did have to ask early on for folks to avoid heaps of retail sales pitches here, I'm all in favor of exactly this sort of thread: helping a touring pro make a little extra change by hosting a clinic when he's in town. Please feel free, everybody.

kudzurunner - thanks for your indulgence. I was caught up in the chance to get some harp help for our community and never thought of the commerce angle. I know Jason did a clinic at the same club on his stop here. I heard about it too late to attend but understand some 25 people showed up.

The professionals seem to be eager to help us "enthusiasts".

I have passed on your feedback for Rick via e-mail.

Hey, pass on that Rick and his Nightcats need to book a show in Birmingham sometime! :^)

Love that guy! And Adam is right, the DVD touches on things not normally talked about and is a real hoot too!
