Nice, but I'm a little heavier than you. I think I might break a cigar box. In fact, I did break an antique cigar box once with my foot, although I did kick it. (Teenage temper tantrum.)
That's awesome, and it has just dawned on me that my "accoustic reverb" box is already setup just like your stompbox! All I have to do is to plug in and tap away!
nacoran , some cigar boxes are very , very solid , if all fails than you will have to loose some weight .
dfwdlg , you are correct , there is some of that Barett exercise you are talking about and some from Adam's lessons as well .I loved that Barett book , very well written.
I decided to make an acoustic stompbox today out of some scrap wood I had laying around. It cost me approx £2.50GBP ($4USD) for the jack socket and a Piezo Transducer. I think it sounds great.
This is the prototype one, hence the cheap wood. It's just glued and tacked together. I'm going to get some better wood and make another. But I'll be dove-tailing that one and making a proper job of it.
There is an artist who has a shop in the local park complex and he burns designs into wood. So I might see if I can talk him into burning a nice custom design into it for me.
Sorry one of the pics is a little blurry. The guitar is my Epiphone Dot. I'm trying to teach myself to play it.
