OK - Just to double check - Is everyone still on for Thurs. Oct. 8th at the Cameron house at 7. Oda, Xharp, Issacullah, you guys still in? (I tried to put the link in here but didn't work) ---------- If it ain't got harp - it ain't really blues!!!!
I'm going to have to play it by ear, so to speak. People have been sick in my family for the past week, with a nasty bug. But assuming I'm well and can get away, I'll try to be there.
Hey Zeppo - A few of us were thinking of having a get together. Isacullah is flying into town and we thought it would be a good excuse to give the southern Ontario tribe a chance to meet - c'mon down - it's early in the year, skip class!! ---------- If it ain't got harp - it ain't really blues!!!!

Where are you Oda, I'm coming from Barrie, you can't be farther than that!! How will you find me - ask if there is a harmonica player with a really big moustache in the joint. ---------- If it ain't got harp - it ain't really blues!!!!
I'm in North York. It's still Toronto but I'll be using the subway. It takes about 30-40 minutes to get there. It's not a ways off at all compared to you! haha.
So you're driving up from Barrie just for the get together? man, I feel that it should be a bigger event in that case.
Travelling for work this week but I am working on getting back late Weds or early Thurs. If all goes well - I'll be there for sure. Look for the second harmonica player with a mustache.
Issac - I'll probably be there early as well - are you going to have dinner there, I probably will? ---------- If it ain't got harp - it ain't really blues!!!!
Looking forward to it. Looks like I'll make it after all. For anyone driving in, here's a map of all parking spots. The Cameron is at the corner of Cameron and Queen. All spots are public parking. There is also a parkette up on Augusta. Might be private.

Sounds kind of neat. Should be a good night but with this in the front room and and a full band in the back room starting at 10 we may need to get outside to jam anything....
Yeah, I think I'll try to have dinner there... I'm not sure what (if any) type of food they have, so I might stop by on wednesday to check it out first. I used to go there mainly to see bands, so I never tried to order any food (just beers)... If it turns out that they don't serve food, I'll post it up here.... ---------- ------------------ The magnificent YouTube channel of the internet user known as "isaacullah"
Yeah, they don't serve food but there are tons of places in the area. I might grab a quick bite somewhere first becasue I'm not sure if I could make to 7:30 (I'll have been working all day), but we could also move on to somewhere else (ie. a place with food) after we all meet up at the cameron. ---------- ------------------ The magnificent YouTube channel of the internet user known as "isaacullah"
I'm going to be there fairly early (try to beat the traffic) If anyone else will be be there by about 7 we could find somewhere to get a bite. I don't want to miss much of that act at 6, he sounds interesting. ---------- If it ain't got harp - it ain't really blues!!!!
Yeah, I can meet you out in front of the joint at 7 for a bite. I scoped the area out so I know what there is for quick food. Plenty of good choices! I'll be wearing a brown jacket with a black scraf, and I'll stand right in front. Check my you tubes if you want to get a picture of what I look like.
Oh, I should say that it's really easy to spot the place. There is a GIGANTIC mural of a red smiling mouth on the side of the building, and large mural of a woman's face ont he front. The words The Cameron are painted above the door, and a sign says "it's noce to see you agin" (or something like that).
I've been off sick most of the week, so won't be able to make it this time. I don't want to be patient zero of the "Great Harmonica Epidemic". I hope to have another opportunity to meet some of you guys. Have fun, fellers.
Well you missed a fun get together, had a nice meal and a great chat with Isaac and Xharp, then back to the Cameron house to check for other harpsters then back to the parking lot for about a two hour jam!!!! Great guitar work by Xharp (including slide work) and real tasty harping by both Isaac and Xharp. It was a great way to spend a Thursday Nite!! Thanx guys. ---------- If it ain't got harp - it ain't really blues!!!!
A very good night was had by one and all. Jawbone and Isaacullah are gracious players and both highly talented. The parking lot jam for MBH North Session 1 was fabulous. Here's a clip I grabbed with my cell phone (vid quality isn't the best but hey...) of Issacullah and Jawbone tradin'licks. Thanks for a great night.... Had a blast!!!
Yes, it was a very fun time. I'll have to wait until I get home to upload the vids I took, but I was looking at them on my phone, and we sounded pretty darn good! At one point we had a nice little crowd of folks, and we even ran into a budding new harp player who may be joining this forum in the near future!
Oh geez - another video - the Witness Protection Agency isn't going to like this at all!!!! ---------- If it ain't got harp - it ain't really blues!!!!
