It is technically a compromise tuning, but it is just like 7 limit just, except the five and nine draws are not flat. ---------- www.elkriverharmonicas.com

Thanks Dave my Bflat is playing great thanks to the reed plates you sold me.I loosened the reed plates screws just a little in order to get it to play kinda like my Lee oskars like you said. cause im not used to a senative harp yet.And its working good.I kinda like a little bit of leakage not much but a little cause i get carried away sometimes.

Elk, can people order all those funky tunings through you or do they have to go to Seydel?

Nacoran, sure, you can order them through me and I can help make funkier or less funky depending on what you want. I've invented a lot of tunings I later found out had already been invented that way ;)
Here is the map of the Seydel compromise tuning. It's more of a Just tuning... the blow plate is pretty much 7-limit Just... the main difference is the 5 and 9 draw. It is far closer to 7-limit just than most of the other compromise tunings. Until 2007, I think it was, all Seydels were tuned 7-limit. The first Solist Pros were like this. They still crop up sometimes in stocks. These just have the word "solist" on them, not "solist pro" as the "compromise" tuned ones do.
