Thought you may like to see this, it's the new Eigenharp. It's an article and video on the BBC news which shows a brand spanking new type of instrument which is a cross between a bassoon, synthesiser, guitar and drum kit. Interesting but it will never replace the harmonica.

wow that was pretty cool kinda reminds me of the insturments in the original star wars.But the song they played was cool i wonder how much a set of reed plates cost for it lol.

wow that is so cool i want one i wonder how much they cost are batteries included.Thats going to be the insturment of the future for sure.

People have been inventing these wonderful, but complex electronic instruments for years. But they rarely catch on.
It has the one problem most instruments of this type have: it looks like playing it would be about as simple as launching a space shuttle.

I do think it is really cool.

Hobbies are fun, but just because you can doesn't mean you should. Remember the "beam"? I think that's what it was called. Basically a long (10+ feet) steel I-beam, strung, amplified, and played (such as it was) with a short length of metal pipe. Difficult to transport. Took a heck of a neck strap! :-O
