I'll be playing solo (as a one-man band) this Saturday, October 10, at the Arkansas Blues and Heritage Festival in Helena. I'm imagining I'll get underway around 2 PM and will go to about 7 PM, more or less.

Whoa, a five-hour gig? I see that marathon mentality isn't limited to your running!

I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.

Humm...Adam must mean 5:30 - 7ish. Here's the Saturday schedule for the Lockwood- Stackhouse Stage

Saturday, October 10, 2009

* 12:00 pm- Vince Cheney
* 1:20 pm- Eddie Cusic
* 2:40 pm- Robert Belfour
* 4:00 pm- Big Jack Johnson
* 5:30 pm- Spoonfed Blues w/ Special Guest
* 7:00 pm – Gwen White
* 8:30 pm- Don McMinn
* 10:00 pm- Blind Mississippi Morris

He must be the "Special Guest". If you do go, be sure to hang around for Blind Mississippi Morris. He's the real deal!

I imagine he will be busking for five hours straight as opposed to being on the main stage.

I'd go, but it's a 21 hour drive for me...

No, I'll be busking on the street back behind the main stage. About a dozen buskers are given spots back there at any given time; people stroll the length of the avenue, checking each out the buskers, each other, the street vendors, etc. I'll be there. Five hours does seem like a lot, but I'm assuming things will happen--guitarists will sit in, etc.
