Anyone heard of these guy. They're from NYC apparently .

Anyone know what's he's doing in "Lost Fox Train", sounds like he's singing through the harp at points.

Van Morrison sings through his harp is this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BYvoH2_XuA

It's at the 4:30 mark, roughly. Embedding of the video has been disabled, so I can only provide the link.

Don't skip straight to the end of the song, since it sounds like shit unless you are into it... It's that kind of song...

That being said, I'm not sure that singing through the harp sounds that good which would explain why it's not done that often.

Hazmat Modine are simply superb!

Wade Schuman and Bill Barret are both stellar harp players.

In the secod clip Wade is vocalising through the harp and mic and playing some truly world class bad-ass harp in the process!

Hazmat are one of the most unusual bands around. They have an extremely diverse pool of material and are always highly tasteful in their performances.

They are indeed from NYC. However they seem to have a much bigger following in mainland Europe and the Baltic States than either the USA or UK. Which is such a shame.

I'd recommend everyone (harp player or not) to get some Hazmat in their music collection.
