Anyone ordered a new case from Jeffery Spoore of Custom cases recently? The reason is that they have defaulted (so far) on a delivery to Uk after 3/4 months There may be good reason; the post in the uk sucks big time! So any feedback?

Have you tried contacting Jeff and making him aware of the problem?
If so has he responded to you?
Jeff Spoor is a great guy to deal with in my experience,

I had a longer than expected wait on an order. I finally hit Jeff up with an email and he got right back to me. He's a one-man band trying to make his things happen. The final product is well worth it....that's why I am a repeat customer. Maybe he could be quicker. I give him the benefit of the doubt. I love the cases I've got. You'll get it.

You know his shop got struck by lightning a while back, right? That's been a while back, but I know in addition to losing the stuff to the lightning bolt itself, the firefighters, whose job is to put out fires, not preserve leather, hosed down the place, thus ruining the orders he'd not shipped out yet, plus the ones he was working on. Yours being ordered between three and four months ago, probably got struck by lightning. I don't know anything about anything since the lightning bolt, but I thought I'd mention that, but last I heard he's working his tail end off trying to get back where he was. Wherever he is in the process, he's had to start everything over again from zero. I'll see if I can get some update info.

Hmmm, I had seriously been considering picking up a hard case from him after seeing jon's. I suppose I should hold off until he catches up. ---------- ~Ryan Pennsylvania - H.A.R.P. (Harmonica Association 'Round Philly)

A. I know Jeff and trust him completely.
B. I don't know if he is behind. I think that making hand crafted custom leather cases sounds like it takes time, and so does shipping overseas. I would not worry about it AT ALL. And I would order with complete confidence.

I agree with Deluxe8765.
In all the dealings I have ever had with Jeff Spoor, I have always found him to be completely trustworthy and very, very helpful and communicative. I wouldn't hesitate to do business again with Jeff or to recommend him to others.

Kingley, I don't know that he is behind now. Jeff is a great guy. As far as I know, that package could be somewhere on the ocean right now. I've had parcels to England take as long as a month to get there. ---------- www.elkriverharmonicas.com

UK customs take an average of 3 weeks to get anything through. Though this can sometimes be longer obviously. Then of course you have no guarantee that the British Postal Service won't lose it (they are always losing stuff).
Hamonicanick, If you still haven't heard anything, then I suggest sending Jeff a quick email and see where he's up to with it.

I guess I should come clean here I kinda initiated this post.I ordered a case from Jeff back in April, having seen one Harmonicanick has.I mentioned to him that it had not arrived, hence forth this post began. In fairness to Jeff he did let me know of the lightnin strike.Ive not heard from him recent, but i trust the dude and am sure it will show up.I might also add I that in my opinion both British and American postal services do an amazing job,if its posted it gets there.I would assume the customs get it on pretty quick too, they want there money.

I also placed an order in April and I got it in September. I'm sure he'll get to you eventually. Jeff may have fallen behind, but my impression is that he won't keep your money if he can't deliver.
