Hey Hey. I'm Dog Face. I'm new to the forum. I guess the old cliche kinda applies "long time listener, first time caller". I thought it was about time I registered. Hmm... lets see... I like long walks on the beach, strong clear drinks, and of course my harmonica. I'm one of the many who get the whole therapy thing out of playing the harp. Not like I need therapy or anything though *COUGH* but by the looks of some of the topics in here, I'd fit right in......that is... if I did need therapy. Anyway, I'm looking forward chatting it up in here. Thanks for noticing me. Dog Face - out.

I'm originally from North Carolina but I've hopped around for about 6 years now. Right now I'm halfway around the world. In what some would call "the cradle of civilization".

Welcome Dog Face. Would it be presumptuous to guess that you were a soldier or have I stated the obvious at my own denigration? Welcome to the Forum!

Good place if you need therapy. Be careful - there are many delicate and sensative famous people who post here you would not want to offend. Many of them need therapy. I do not need therapy, but it is also a great place to learn, so that is why I am here. My dog says if i do not learn to play better he will not talk to me any more.
Welcome.

Good Evening to everyone or whenever it is when you read this. Im new here but have lurked here a time or two. Been playing about 30 years and am from the Mississippi Delta. This instrument sure has gotten popular to a lot of folks recently, what with harp amps, mics, lessons all for sale. Maybe its just me never knowing about the commercial side of such. Anyway good to be here.

Hi, I practice for some years, but still consider myself an "advanced beginner"...and came here to ask one question. recently I bought a hohner marine band and found that after some playing the wooden things (don´t know the right term for them) between the holes popp up and scratch the lips...is that normal? before I played on harps made of plastic...I´m from germany, by the way, so please excuse my english ;-)

sorry folks, in the meantimeI found my question answered under "FAQs"..."the spit you blow into it may cause the wooden comb to swell up so much that the protruding nibs rub your lips raw. (When this happens, I take a single-edge razor or the small blade on a Swiss Army Knife and carefully pare down each swollen tooth of the comb until it’s even with the cover-plates.)"
