Yeehaa! I'm blown away with my new mic. Please listen to my mic sound check and let me know what you think of the "Dogs Bollock" please. I got it from a 99p store. There are more details in the i-mic thread just a few posts down where I describe it with pictures.

There are two parts to the soundclip. The first is done with a Delta Frost with ProMaster plates in the key of "C" and it sounds a bit like a trumpet, the second was a Lee Oskar in "G" and it sounds so much like a saxophone.

I played though my MicroCube with just a touch of reverb for atmosphere.

Thanks.

Really good sound from an el cheapo mic ie better than I am yet able to get from my $100+ Shure!

I have a cheap Karaoke mic from a $2 shop which is boody awful. Have insered it into stomp box where it sounds much better than the guitar piezo pickups I first tried.

It's cool, is that all you can get out of it? Can that amp get a good overdrive sound?

"Can that amp get a good overdrive sound?" Yes, I only had it on about 1/3rd volume with about 1/5th gain but there was a nipper asleep next door. I'm not really an overdriven fan, I prefer a more pure sound where mistakes are more noticable. Perhaps when I get more proficient and make more mistakes, I'll crank the gain up ;)

Lobs grenade and dives for cover.
